PTIT Focus is a monthly English language newsletter providing up-to-date coverage of petroleum and petrochemical industries information, news and statistics. In addition, a special annual issue is published in the first quarter of each year, which provides a comprehensive review of happenings in the previous year, as well as extensive statistics which are used as reference by the industry.

Readership of PTIT Focus is wide-ranging. The list includes decision-makers in government, petroleum, petrochemical and related industries, as well as business consulting, finance and law.

IMCA, the international trade association for offshore marine and underwater engineering companies, has more than 500 members in over 50 countries.

IMCA represents members’ interests by promoting communication on safety, efficiency and prosperity in marine contracting. We publish guidance, information notes, and safety flashes; run regional members’ meetings, seminars and social events; and provide a forum for communication with clients, authorities and governments,Technically, we cover: offshore diving, marine operations including dynamic positioning, offshore survey and ROV operations.

Personnel issues include safety, training, and competence. On the commercial side, we publish contracting principles and some standard contracts.

The society was founded in 1967 with the aim of promoting the advancement of earth sciences in Malaysia and the Southeast Asian (S.E.A) region. Currently, it has a membership of more than 600 earth scientists worldwide of various disciplines and expertise.

The society is active in organizing conferences such as the GEOSEA, Annual Geological Conference (AGC) and Petroleum Geology Conference (PGC). We also organize technical talks, field trips and forums for our fellow members.
